By 1900, the Steinway design was perfected to the point where it is mostly as you see it today. Most notably, there are 88-keys, the plate is full to cover the pinblock, and there is a 3rd pedal, the sostenuto. It also has a rounded tail, which is indicative of the scale design change just prior to 1900. It lends to a greater speaking length of the strings.
The restoration process has begun with disassembly and removal of the finish. Most likely, the leg style is the ice cream cone or windowpane.
