Built in 1909, this preowned 6'2" model A Steinway & Sons grand has been restored by Reeder Pianos in the 1970's! It has undergone a reconditioning here in our facility, and plays very well! It will be a good instrument for many more years to come, and a great candidate for restoration down the road. An artist bench is included.

In the 1970's this piano was refinished, and the pinblock, tuning pins, strings and hammers were replaced. It has the original soundboard (with repairs) and bridges. The action was reconditioned back then, and recently once again. This included:

  • Resurfacing the Hammers
  • Aligning Hammers to Strings
  • Leveling Keys, Adjusting Key Dip
  • Adjusting Let-off and Backchecks
  • Cleaning the Strings & Soundboard
  • Polishing the Keytops
  • Tightening All the Action Screws
  • Tuning and Voicing
  • Case Refreshing

New, the cost is $119,000. Listed here is a great piano for less than half the price!

Steinway History

Steinway & Sons was established in Manhattan in New York in 1853 by Heinrich Steinweg, a German piano maker who immigrated from Germany in 1850. The company has grown to be one of the most prominent piano manufacturing companies today, has won numerous awards, and is perhaps the most recognized name in the world of pianos today.

You will not be disappointed with a Steinway in your living room or music studio!
