During the Victorian Age of the 19th century, Blüthner was a purveyor to the Royal Court of Queen Victoria.

This instrument designed in the style of this time, executed in precious rosewood, enhanced with hand carved ornaments and applications, with powerfully styled legs and a finely etched music desk, conveys perfectly the philosophy of that period.
