Built in 1919 and completely restored by RPI in 2004, this piano was enjoyed by one owner who has regrettably needed to downsize. This is a beautiful Steinway O that was restored to like-new condition just 16 years ago.

Restoration in 2004 included complete refinishing, a new soundboard, pinblock, recapped bridges, new strings, pins and all action parts including hammers. It is currently in our finish department for some refreshing, however has been very well taken care of and will need minimal cleaning. The case will be cleaned inside and out, including strings, and the action will receive an all-points regulation. As with all our preowned instruments, this piano will undergo a thorough reconditioning. Reconditioning includes:

  • Resurfacing the Hammers
  • Aligning Hammers to Strings
  • Leveling Keys, Adjusting Key Dip
  • Adjusting Let-off and Backchecks
  • Cleaning the Strings & Soundboard
  • Polishing the Keytops
  • Tightening All the Action Screws
  • Tuning and Voicing
  • Case Refreshing & Rub-out
  • Polishing hardware
