This little Baldwin is a 41" continental console compact style which was purchased new in New York City in 1984. During this time, the USA Baldwin factory was still producing pianos. The owner of the piano, a piano teacher and music professor, put the piano to good use in her home studio, and it has had regular maintenance and tuning. The piano will undergo rigorous reconditioning to bring it back to as good condition as possible, and it will be a great starter piano for the next owners.
Our technicians have inspected this piano, and have found that it has tight tuning pins, no cracks in the soundboard or bridges. Reconditioning will include:
We guarantee our work with a 2-year mechanical warranty.
This size and case style Baldwin is no longer made by the Baldwin company, and is somewhat hard to find. If you have a need for a smaller piano to fit in a little space, this may be just the thing for you!
Dwight Hamilton Baldwin began to manufacture pianos in 1889 and his company grew to be the largest piano manufacturing company in the United States. Many spinet sized pianos were made from the 1940's to the 1970's, however the Baldwin piano company no longer makes this small upright.
The Baldwin piano has made a significant impact in the piano world, and has been a favorite of many composers and musicians. Up until 2008, the Baldwin piano was made in the USA. After this time, production was moved to China. The company is now owned by the Gibson Guitar company, and continues to produce high quality instruments that will last a lifetime.
