Wurlitzer Piano History
The Wurlitzer company goes back to the 17th century as a musical instrument maker, however the pianos were not produced until 1880. Pianos were made both in New York and in Illinois, and later expanded to other states throughout the US. The Wurlitzer name is well recognized in pianos, electronic pianos and other instruments as well.
The company was sold to Baldwin in 1996, and the piano was manufactured in China until 2001. There are no new pianos produced with this name today.
