George Steck Piano History
The original George Steck piano is an American made instrument that began in New York by a German immigrant who started the company in 1857. The piano company stayed independent until 1904, when it was sold to a larger company, Aeolian, who seemed to be buying many of the American piano manufacturing companies at that time. The piano continued to be made in the USA until 1994. You may find some Steck pianos that were made since the 1990's, and these are all imported from Asia. Today, pianos with the Steck name are no longer produced.
