Baldwin Piano History
Dwight Hamilton Baldwin began to manufacture pianos in 1889 and his company grew to be the largest piano manufacturing company in the United States. Many spinet sized pianos were made from the 1940's to the 1970's, however the Baldwin piano company no longer makes this small upright.
The Baldwin piano has made a significant impact in the piano world, and has been a favorite of many composers and musicians. Up until 2008, the Baldwin piano was made in the USA. After this time, production was moved to China. The company is now owned by the Gibson Guitar company, and continues to produce high quality instruments that will last a lifetime.
