1997 - New Factory
Now firmly established, the Blüthner company decided to build a new factory to meet the growing demand for their instruments. From 1994 to 1997 the family planned and built a new factory in Störmthal, a suburb of Leipzig, 20 minutes away from the center. Visitors will be disappointed if they are looking for modern machinery and mass production. Traditional craftsmanship still prevails.
1997 - New Exhibition Hall
At last after many years, Blüthner can once again exhibit instruments in a spacious environment. 30 grands are normally on show and 50 uprights in adjacent rooms. The hall is constantly used for smaller concerts and has a reputation for wonderful acoustics.
